As Qoolize, we will attend the Wholesale World Congress in Madrid on September 21 & 22, 2022, as an exhibit sponsor. If you are also planning a visit, look at our list of what to do in Madrid.

1. Eat Tapas

Be sure to visit one of the tapas bars on almost every corner in Madrid. Enjoy the unique taste of tapas appetizers and a cold beer or wine. In the past, the Spanish covered their glasses with a saucer so that unwanted dust or other things would not get into their drinks. Then they started to put snacks on these plates. These plates were called tapas. Now, the indispensable habit of the Spanish is tapas bars are the first thing to do after work. Here is one for you

2. See Guernica

The Queen Sofia Museum is open seven days a week, with an entrance fee of 8 €. The peculiarity of this museum is that it hosts Picasso's Guernica and the works of 20th-century Spanish artists. Do not return from this journey without seeing Guernica. The author of this blog would like to give you a little information about this legendary painting; It is perhaps one of the most important works of Picasso, which was made in 1937. It describes the horrors of war. It showcases the devastation of Nazi Germany's bombers in the Spanish Civil War. You can see the painting free of charge from Monday to Friday from 19.00 to 21.00, Saturday from 14.30 to 21.00 and Sunday from 10.00 to 14.30. 3. Walk Around in Puerta Del Sol

We may go to work, meetings, conferences, and events as Qoolize, but we believe that if you have enough time, you will not leave Madrid without seeing the central area. The square will give you the pleasure of being a tourist. Madrid's main shopping district, Puerta Del Sol, is famous for its iconic clock and New Year's Eve celebrations. The shopping venues, the old post office, the statue of Carlos the 3rd, and the bear and the old man statue, which are symbols of Madrid, are also here. Bars and nightclubs open until late at night also attract many tourists. The square, named after the sun, is one of the most famous squares in Spain. It is within walking distance of the famous Gran Via street, which hosts many shows. You can walk to the Royal Palace and Plaza De Mayor from here. The square, where shopping centers and restaurants are located, also hosts the famous Flamenco shows.

4. Visit Caixaforum

More than a bank. One of Spain's oldest banks, Caixa, takes an old power station and turns it into an art museum. The exciting thing is that you don't know what kind of surprise you will see when you go, as the exhibits constantly change. Contemporary works of art cost 4 € for entrance.

5. See Royal Palace

Spain is one of the few countries that still have a kingdom. The Dynasty of Borbón-Anjou, or simply the Dynasty of Borbón, is the reigning royal house of the Kingdom of Spain. The current royal family of Spain consists of King Felipe, Consort Queen Letizia, and their children. The palace you will visit is the largest in Europe, and long queues await you at the entrance. Therefore, it is recommended to go early. Entry is free between 18:00 and 20:00 on weekdays. If you are wondering where the royal families sleep and how they live, you should see it.

One of the oldest traditions in Spain is the Vermouth clock. Vermouth is a sweet white wine made with a mixture of caramel and various botanicals and spices (cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, etc.). Drinking vermouth before lunch is the critical point. The legendary flavor here.

7. Enjoy Gran Via

Spain's Broadway. With more than 100 years of history, Gran Via has buildings that reflect the best examples of Art-Deco Spanish architecture. The magnificence of historical buildings will dazzle you, and restaurants, cafes, theaters, and cinemas & shopping centers will draw you in on the 1300-meter-long street. The entertainment that lasts all night is enough to call many tourists. The famous Metropolis building is also located here.
